Business Development manager

Location: - Fulfilled DHL Freight Benelux

You have a nose for commercial opportunities and you are brimming with ideas about how smart logistics processes can be even more efficient. You share and incorporate these ideas with your clients. As Business Development Manager Technology & Consumer Retail at DHL, you will be responsible for the expansion and development of new business for DHL Freight Benelux (EMEA catchment area) and bring in business in line with the current core business. You effortlessly go the extra mile to provide the best possible customer service. You will manage and coordinate your own customer portfolio and shape the commercial policy outlined by DHL Freight. To this end, you will independently answer tenders from the market, prepare project plans for implementation and coordinate with the various interested departments.

We are looking for a driven topper at the HBO/WO level with extensive knowledge of logistics, creative, commercial and incisive with a strong results-oriented mentality.
As Business Development Manager, you will have the freedom to shape the commercial plan as an entrepreneur.

You will report to the Sector Head of Sales Technology & Consumer Retail.

  • Education HBO+/ WO level (e.g. Business Administration, Logistics and Economics)
  • Demonstrated affinity and experience in logistics and road transportation
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience
  • People manager
  • Creative, commercial
  • Decisive and entrepreneurial
  • Mastery of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing
