Business Performance Controller

For an ambitious logistics service provider in Twente, we are looking for a Business Performance Controller who likes to have both feet firmly on the ground and a sharp eye for the numbers. Someone who translates daily operational processes and data into dashboards and results.
What will you do?
In this role as Business Performance Controller, you are the link between finance, operations and IT. You translate data into insight and action. You will analyze operational KPIs such as load factor, empty mileage, hours worked and cost calculations on a daily basis. You know exactly where profits can be made in the processes and translate your analyses into concrete improvement proposals that have a direct impact on the operation.
You work with data from various sources – from on-board computers to Excel files and dashboards in Power BI – and know how to combine them effortlessly. In cooperation with colleagues from planning, IT and external BI specialists, you ensure that the right information is available at the right time. In addition, you are a valuable sparring partner for both management and colleagues on the shop floor. You know how to communicate complex analyses clearly and convincingly and you think proactively about strategic choices and process improvement.
Because this is a new position within the organization, you will have room to shape the role as you see fit. You will help build a data-driven way of working and contribute to the further professionalization of the organization. In short: you will ensure that data is not an end in itself, but a powerful engine for improvement.
What do we ask of you?
- HBO or WO education in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and experience with Power BI or other BI tools
- Experience with ERP and TMS systems is a plus (e.g. Navision / Business Central / Navitrans)
- Strong analytical skills and a curious, results-oriented attitude
- Able to switch between thinking and doing
- You speak English well; German is a plus
