Head of business office

Location: Heeg — Wajer Yachts

As Head of the Business Office, you will be at the helm and ensure that the Business Office department runs smoothly. You are responsible for the preparation and execution phase of projects for New Construction as well as the preparation phase for After Sales.
The preparation and execution phase includes engineering, work preparation, procurement and production of the luxury Wajer yachts. In the preparation phase for aftersales you focus on the maintenance and service work of the luxury yachts. With your leadership skills you know how to properly manage, guide, coach and make your team, consisting of about 15 employees, perform. You monitor and improve processes and ensure standardization of these processes in procedures and work instructions.

As Head of Business Office, you are also responsible for preparing schedules, monitoring progress and making timely adjustments. In case of deviations, you solve any problems and provide a calculation of the additional work, in time and money. Keep track of the production process in a progress report, ensuring the cost, quality, efficiency and turnaround time of the construction of the luxury yachts in accordance with targets.
In your position, you will report directly to the Director of Operations. 

Job requirements Head of business office

  • A completed college education, majoring in maritime engineering or mechanical engineering;
  • At least 5 years of work experience in yacht building;
  • leadership experience;
  • Professional knowledge belonging to the construction of yachts;
  • goal-oriented, solution-oriented and proactive;
  • flexibility, you are willing to travel occasionally;
  • good communication skills;
  • a team player.
