Manager of Fiber Optic Operations Center

Connectivity plays an important role in our society. For both individuals and businesses, being connected to the Internet is a given. Faster and more stable solutions-such as fiber optics-are being rolled out at a rapid pace. VolkerWessels Telecom is making this connectivity possible for many households in the Netherlands and you can be the booster in this that organizes this rollout. In the role of Manager Fiber Optic Operations Centre NL, you will be in charge of ensuring that thousands of homes are connected each week.

This is quite a challenge. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has not only an affinity for but also vision for the world of connectivity. As a person, it is important that you want to do business within the company. You have to strive for the optimal result. Indeed, as a facilitator, you make sure that it is possible for your colleagues to achieve these thousands of connections per week. It takes a lot to do this. Directing and collaborating with, for example, work preparation, the customer service desk and planning. Also consider the VolkerWessels Telecom mechanics, ZZPs and subcontractors you depend on. But logistics processes must also be arranged to perfection. You do this together with colleagues whom you empower. You make sure they can work more efficiently and effectively. Innovation takes a prominent role within VolkerWessels Telecom. Again, connectivity plays a big role. Some affinity with IT processes is therefore desirable. You will directly manage 30fte and indirectly it can reach up to 400fte. Your location is the VWT office in Nieuwegein but your working area is nationwide with, in principle, focus on the western and central part of the country.

FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant (managerial) experience at the HBO/WO level;
• Experience with production control (financial and operational);
• affinity and preferably experience working in an operational excellence environment;
• Decisive, energetic, conceptually strong and focused on fostering collaboration.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a solid role within VWT for which they want to reward you well. Below are the salary and some other conditions:

• A salary between de €6,000 to €8,500 gross per month (based on your knowledge and experience);
• a leased car;
• the possibility of hybrid working;
• training in leadership development.
