Manager of Fleet & Technical Services

Total Cost of Ownership. Uptime. No-nonsense. Efficiency. Putting the organization down. These are the words that trigger you as Manager of Fleet & Technical Services at Emons Group. You are the fleet expert within Emons’ MT. You will manage the workshop supervisors and be ultimately responsible for everything related to equipment costs. You will make the material cost transparent and know how to reduce it to its essence and report. You will also ensure that the department (both in the Netherlands and at the international Emons sites) works efficiently, process-wise and to a large extent automated.

As a member of the Management Team, you will report to the Emons Group Board of Directors.

Job Requirements Manager Fleet & Technical Services

• HBO education in the area of HTS Automotive Engineering, Business Administration or Technical Transportation Engineering, supplemented by relevant courses in the area of leadership and process organization
• at least 5 years of experience in a similar position
• A technical, business drive and decisive result orientation
• Good command of English, German and Dutch; both oral and written
• Good computer skills in MS Office and business software packages

The Emons Group is a logistics service provider specialized in serving several niche markets: – Glass logistics (Van Huet Glass Logistics) – International double-deck transport (2WIN – Emons Cargo) – Recycling, trading and transport of Champost (Hofmans Horst) To this end, the Emons Group develops innovative concepts and vehicles, including a glass “inner loader” (trailer) constructed entirely from aluminum. For the purpose of the latter concept, significant investments were made in 2013 through the acquisition of an aluminum vehicle manufacturer: Anhänger- und Fahrzeugbau Meierling GmbH in Hagen (D). The Emons Group has branches in NL, B, D, CZ and PL. Given the highly specialized nature of the concepts, most of the repair and maintenance of the towed equipment is performed in-house. Specific elements therein include among others; independent wheel suspension, hydraulics, loading elevators and charging power (including for the benefit of entrained electro pallet trucks). Maintenance of the tractor units is outsourced, but is fully coordinated by Emons.
