Manager of Operations

The Pieter Smit Group is looking for a Manager of Operations to join the operational backbone of their organization as an experienced leader and motivator. The ideal candidate is someone who decisively translates strategic insights into effective business processes. Someone who sees what people need to work together and can bring teams together to completely unburden the client.

THE ROLE

The Manager Operations we are looking for will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the logistics and operational activities of Pieter Smit Group. This role includes managing the planning, quoting, fleet management, rental and nightliner departments. You make decisions at the tactical and operational levels and strive for continuous improvement within the organization. That the basics are in place is important for the further development of the organization abroad.

In this role, you will report to the CEO and, together with the CFO, form the organization’s MT. The MT is advised by a board of advisors that includes Pieter Smit himself.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a similar leadership role, focusing on the ability to manage multiple departments (national and international). Indirectly manages a total of about 50 employees.
• A results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on growth and optimization.
• We expect you to be fluent in Dutch and English. If you are also proficient in German and French, that is definitely a big plus.

FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum hbo working and thinking level, supplemented by relevant training and courses.
• Excellent communication skills and a talent for keeping an overview of complex projects.
• Experience with international fleet management and ERP systems.
