Senior Planner Benelux

Location: Harderwijk — Ploeger Logistics

Organize, plan, delegate and look ahead! Are you that experienced planner at heart who comes into his own in a professional family business? For the planning department in Harderwijk we are looking for a Planner Benelux due to growth of activities.
Work is focused on transportation assignments to B2B addresses in such areas as retail transportation of non-food to DCs. For this you are primarily engaged in making trip and route plans whether or not using a route planning system (Smarttour).
You will supervise the execution of the planned trips/routes and instruct and supervise the drivers in this regard.
Your goal: to effectively and efficiently deploy employees and resources involving close collaboration with the Warehouse, Crossdock, Forwarding and Customer Service departments.

You will report directly to the Transport Manager and be part of an enthusiastic team of 6 colleagues.

Job Requirements Senior Planner Benelux

  • MBO+ or HBO level 
  • Demonstrated experience in a planner position preferably using route planning system Smarttour
  • Experience with transportation management systems and on-board computers
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (driving hours regulations)
  • Analytical ability and anticipates in a timely manner to get ahead of problems
  • Passionate about your profession and is cost and quality conscious
  • Communicative and proactive in this, both towards clients and colleagues
  • Willing to work shifted shifts morning/afternoon and afternoon/evening.
