Transportation Manager

People manager, decisive and connecting. For Bakker Logistics, we are looking for a Transportation Manager Shop Distribution. Someone with the heart in the right place, social and with integrity. You will be responsible for the Gieten and Deventer branches. You have a flexible attitude and can handle freedom. You are genuinely interested in people and what moves them. You enjoy giving trust and creating a stable work environment where your people feel safe and seen. You do this from a piece of natural leadership, making you a good interlocutor at all levels of the organization.

You will take care of the operational daily and weekly management at the Gieten and Deventer sites. You organize optimal deployment and task distribution of your employees.  You divide your time between these 2 branches and manage by expertise and KPIs. You will communicate with all stakeholders including the client, colleagues, charters and staffing agencies. You have a sound vision for improvement projects, see the opportunities and take advantage of them. As a people manager, you will also be responsible for induction and supervision of drivers. In addition, you conduct performance appraisals and coordinate absenteeism.

• Experience with quality, health and safety and environmental issues;
