Transportation manager Dasko

Team builder at heart and is transportation in your genes? Then it gets interesting! Indeed, for Dasko Zwolle we are looking for a Transport Manager. As Transportation Manager, you will be operationally responsible for the results and successes of store distribution. The planning department runs smoothly under your reign. If necessary, you will help plan the trips yourself . To be successful, you are perfectly aware of the fleet equipment, loading and unloading procedures and basically everything that goes along with a successful operation. You conduct performance and appraisal interviews with the planners and drivers.
You will be able to further develop and expand the department, for example by further establishing and designing processes, procedures and reports. For Dasko we are looking for a real transport man or woman who knows how to get the best out of people as a proactive people manager. Someone who thinks in solutions, not reactive but proactive and strives to provide optimal service and customer service.

You will report to the Manager of Operations.

Job Requirements Transportation Manager Dasko

• HBO working and thinking level
• Knowledge of driving hours laws, permits and regulations
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems.
• Experience in a similar position (e.g. Transportation Planner) and/or industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Command of English and German language
• Proactive people manager

Dasko Group provides national and international transport of conditioned goods (frozen and refrigerated), with branches in Almelo, Zwolle, Wietzendorf (D) and Niepruszewo (P). From Zwolle   particularly conditioned distribution transport is provided for renowned Dutch retailers. Management of some 20 drivers stationed around the country is also provided from Zwolle.
